about Oral care.
Korean oral care for little mouths, from first teeth to school age: Pyunkang Yul's blueberry-flavored toothpastes in stages by age, and a soft, fine-bristled toothbrush made for kids. The pastes are naturally flavored and sweetened with xylitol, and Pyunkang Yul adds propolis to each.
Choose by age and by how well your child can spit. A fluoride-free paste is made for babies and toddlers who cannot spit yet, a low-fluoride one for children who are learning, and a higher-fluoride one for school-age kids who brush on their own. The Pyunkang Yul kids toothbrush, made for ages five and up, has a small, rounded head and pairs with the Kids or Mild paste.
questions, answered.
Which Pyunkang Yul toothpaste is right for my child's age?
Pyunkang Yul makes its pastes in stages. The Bebe toothpaste is fluoride-free and made for ages six months to three years, for babies who cannot spit yet. The Kids toothpaste is low-fluoride and made for children aged three and up who are starting to spit it out on their own. The Mild toothpaste has a higher fluoride level and is made for children five and older who brush on their own. If you are unsure, your dentist can say which stage fits.
How much toothpaste should a child use?
On the pack: a pea-sized amount for children up to six, about a kidney bean's worth from six, always supervised for younger children so the paste is not sucked or swallowed. Brush gently, then rinse until no paste is left. If a young child swallows a large amount, stop and talk to a doctor or dentist.
Do kids need a special toothbrush?
A children's brush has a smaller, rounded head and softer bristles than an adult brush, so it reaches the back molars comfortably and is kinder to gums. Pyunkang Yul's kids toothbrush, made for ages five and up, adds a thick triangular handle for small hands and a cap for every brush, which keeps the bristles clean in a school bag. Supervise brushing, since biting or chewing the bristles can loosen them.
What are Pyunkang Yul kids toothpastes flavored with?
A natural blueberry flavoring rather than an artificial one, with xylitol for gentle sweetness. Each paste has propolis, which Pyunkang Yul pairs with vitamins in the Bebe and Kids pastes for tender gums, and herbal extracts such as mugwort, gardenia and sage for a fresh, clean mouth. Propolis can deepen the paste's color over time; that is normal and does not mean anything is wrong.
