about Hyaluronic acid.

Tight, papery skin is thirsty skin, and hyaluronic acid is what quenches it: it holds water in the skin so your face looks plump, dewy and comfortable, and Korean brands blend several sizes of it into one bottle. Torriden's DIVE IN line is built on five of them, and the Torriden DIVE IN Serum hydrates without a trace of stickiness.

Pick by skin type and step. Normal to dry skin loves LANEIGE's Water Bank creams, sensitive skin that also wants calm is suited to SKIN1004's Hyalu-Cica, and the Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Watery Sun Gel SPF50+/PA++++ carries it into your sunscreen with no white cast. A whole hydrating routine of Korean originals, from toner to SPF, is ready to build at KBeauty Shop.

questions, answered.

Should hyaluronic acid go on damp or dry skin?

Damp, and then seal it. Hyaluronic acid holds water, so it works best on skin still wet from a toner or a rinse, with a moisturizer over the top to keep that water in. Used on bone-dry skin in a dry room and left unsealed, it can leave your face feeling tighter rather than softer.

Hyaluronic acid toner, serum or cream: which do I need?

A toner such as the Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Toner gives a light layer that fits any routine. Properly dehydrated skin wants the concentrated dose of a serum like the Torriden DIVE IN Serum. If you would rather hydrate and seal in one step, the Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Moist Cream does both for dry skin.

Can oily skin use hyaluronic acid?

Yes. It adds water rather than oil, and skin that is shiny on the surface is often dehydrated underneath. Pair a watery toner with a gel moisturizer such as the Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Aqua Gel Cream, made for oily and combination skin. If your face is shiny by noon, the answer is more water and a lighter seal, not less hydration.
