Hydrolyzed sponge

Tiny needle-shaped sponge spicules, finely processed for cosmetic formulas.

What it does: Used in shot serums, ampoules and creams, where the fine spicules give a tingling feel as you apply them and are marketed to help the formula's other ingredients sink in.
How often: Retinoid shots start gradually in the evening, while the retinal mask is weekly; the collagen cream is used morning and evening, and other shots range from daily to weekly use.
