Hand care

about Hand care.

Korean hand care for hands that are washed more often than any other skin and show dryness first, in the tight feeling after a hot tap and in the lines across the knuckles.

Keep them comfortable between washes with MARY & MAY's shea butter hand cream, Haruharu Wonder's hand and nail cream for washing-worn skin, BRMUD's mud cream for dry hands that react easily, and DR.PEPTI's peptide hand serum with SPF50+ PA+++ for the backs of hands out in the daylight. Keep a light one at the desk and a richer cream by the bed.

questions, answered.

When should I put hand cream on?

After every wash, while the skin is still slightly damp, because the cream then has water to hold in rather than working on a dry surface. Once more before bed, with a thicker texture, is what makes the difference over a week. Work it over the knuckles and along the sides of the fingers, not only into the palms.

Do hands need sunscreen?

The backs of the hands take as much daylight as the face and show it in the same way, so a hand product with an SPF rating is worth having if you drive or walk to work. The catch is washing: it comes off with soap, so reapply after the sink and make it part of the hand cream habit.

Is a hand cream different from a body lotion?

Mostly in thickness and in how fast it sinks in. Hand skin is thin on the back, much thicker on the palm, and stripped several times a day, so hand formulas tend to be richer than a lotion and made to absorb quickly enough that you can pick up a phone afterwards. A body lotion works in a pinch, it simply does not last as long.
