Cellulose gum
A thickener made from plant cellulose, the fiber in wood and cotton, that turns water into a soft gel.
- Forms a light protective film
- What it does
- Used in hydrocolloid spot patches, where it helps soak up fluid, and in gel masks and pads for a cushioned, jelly-like texture.
- How often
- Morning and evening in everyday skincare and as needed in spot patches; masks, retinoid patches, peels, shot treatments, sun care and brow products have separate schedules.
