Azulene
A deep-blue soothing compound related to the blue in chamomile oil, used as guaiazulene or its water-soluble salt.
- What it does
- Used in calming toners, creams, ampoules and sunscreens for red, stressed-looking skin, and it gives many of them their soft blue color.
- How often
- Morning and evening in most everyday skincare; retinoids, exfoliating pads and night creams can need evening use, while masks and sun care have separate schedules.
