Blemishes and oil
Succinic acid
Succinic acid, the amber acid, a newer name in care for oily, blemish-prone skin.
- What it is
- An acid found in amber and made by fermentation for skincare.
- What it does
- Used in blemish serums, toners, peeling pads and cleansers for clearer-looking pores and less shine.
- How often
- Daily in most cleansers and hydrating skincare; acid treatments may need a slower start, with the peeling ampoule used in the evening. Masks are weekly care, spot patches are used when needed, and foundation is applied with makeup.
